Founded in 1982 in Shahroud, Semnan Province, Moghan started with the production of low-voltage cables for industrial and construction sectors. In 1996, responding to the rising demand for telecommunications cables, the company expanded with a new unit in Shahroud Industrial Park. In 2006, to meet the growing needs of industries like oil, gas, petrochemicals, and marine, and the increasing demand for medium and high-voltage XLPE cables, Moghan launched a second phase of development. This expansion increased production capacity by 43,000 tons on a 10-hectare site, making Moghan one of the largest cable manufacturers in the country.
The company’s high-voltage lab, equipped with advanced German-made High Volt technology, manufactures medium and high-voltage cables up to 230 kV. Moghan also focuses on innovation, collaborating with university experts to design new products and localize specialized cables that previously had to be imported.
With almost 30 years of engineering design expertise, Moghan produces customized cables to meet specific project requirements. In recent years, Moghan has become one of Iran’s top exporters, supplying products to Iraq, Afghanistan, and countries in the CIS region. Today, Moghan is recognized as the leading cable brand in Afghanistan.
